I first saw Wendy Bevan's work in Italian Marie Claire last autumn. It was a big shoot and the pictures were so amazing to me that I had to flick back and find out who the photographer was. I love the vintage look of the photos, tainted by light, under or overexposed, grainy with occasionally questionable focus. A kind of neo-realism. To me these are simply stunning. In some shots it is hard to say of she has actually used an old large format camera or if photoshop has worked it's wonder. Either way the lady is a genius. I must contact her to see if she needs an assistant after Speos.
