Monochroming

Denisa Dvorakova by Dennison Bertram for Czech Marie Claire November 2011

I have my reservations about fashion shoots in black and white unless the clothes being shot are in fact monochrome, because I think in fashion magazines you want and in fact need to see the colours of the clothes being- ultimately- advertised. But like I said these are merely reservations as actually I have often found some of my most powerful stuff has been shot in black in white. I think women look at their most sensational when portrayed in black and white.

I think this shoot is genius. I love the editing and must learn to get my black and white edits up to this standard. I love the looks and I love the model.

X.
