To me - rooftops are magical places. Especially in cities. When ever I have lived in a city - from London to Bangkok, Edinburgh to Paris - I have always made a point of finding a roof terrace or roof top to escape to. On roof terraces you can completely disappear from the bustle of city life even though you are still right in the heart of it ... and there is something so wonderful about being able to do that.
