My favourite restaurant: MAZE

MAZE is one of Gordon Ramsay's wonders.
I am crazy about it because of it's menu. The concept was founded I suppose on Tapas style food or mini micro portions and the idea is ... or certainly was ... that you ordered say 4 or 5 of these mini dishes.
However the style of food was exactly what you would expect in a full fantastic Ramsay restaurant - just small portions. Baby Roast Beef, Grilled Scallops etc.
Here's a menu example:

Savoury
Jasmine and miso cured salmon, avocado, watermelon, ponzu dressing
Pressed confit duck leg, pear and saffron chutney, green tea caramel
Spiced butternut squash soup, smoked beef and toasted pumpkin seeds
Roasted poussin breast, confit leg, ratte potato salad, spring onion, pancetta, poussin vinaigrette
Braised pollock, razor clams, chilli, lime, coriander and purple sprouting broccoli
Szechuan-spiced Suffolk pork belly, braised discovery apple, kale and onion confit
Boiled beef cheeks with cardamom, star anise, swede and Brussels sprouts
Sweet
Goat's cheese parfait with toasted almonds, carpaccio of fig, poached celery
Pine nut pannacotta, macerated peaches, iced tea granita
Apple and blackberry crumble
3 Courses £25.00
4 Courses £33.00
5 Courses £40.00

London - November - 2011. Oh YES!
