Hoorah to the Walkman

Somebody asked me today if I was sure that I had enough battery in my ipod for a long drive I'm about to embark on. It reminded me of how much I miss days of the Walkman and being able to buy batteries at gas stations to then roll on with your music playing obnoxiously loudly in your ears.

My Sony Walkman was red!!

PIANOooooo

I am currently going through a real phase of loving everything "piano" again. Especially when mixed with - well whatever - drum and bass, electronica, trance, minimal, you name it. Here is a stunning example I found amidst the chaos that is my ipoddle.

I have just discovered that youtube.com is full FULL of these kind of random tutorials.

I have always wanted to learn how to play "Children" on the piano ... so next time I am home this is a definite must ... well at least start ... to learn to tinkle my digits to this.

Surprisingly, because this is right up my alley, recently I discovered Paul Kalkbrenner and both his soundtrack and film BERLIN CALLING.

Music at it's absolute best in my opinion and a faultless album with track after track of sensationality. It blew and continues to blow me away.
